The Disorientation Guide was created by a small collective of people. It has been produced over the past several years, although it first hit the scene in 1977, 1982, and 1984. Disorientation Guides have also emerged at UC Santa Barbara, UC Davis, UC Berkeley, UC Irvine, MIT, Yale, UT Austin, CUNY and other universities.
The DisGuide was established to tell the story the university doesn’t tell you. It explains the history of student activism, an introduction to local issues, and is a call for direct action.
